An Hons. Graduate in Commerce from St. Xavier’s College, Calcutta and thereafter completed Post Graduate in Commerce from the University of Calcutta. Also holds Masters' degree in Business Administration (MBA). A Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), Associate Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) and Associate Member of Chartered Institute
for Securities & Investment, UK (ACSI, Lond.). Also possess Diploma in Mangement from IGNOU and Post Graduate Honours Diploma in System Management from NIIT (Calcutta). Holds Diploma in Human Resource Development and Diploma in Industrial Relations & Personnel Management from Chennai. Also possess 1st Class certificate in NISM(Series-IIA).
Actively involved in Sports and captained School Cricket Team upto the District level. Bearing interest in art and culture and stood Third in All India Poetry Competition organized by All India Catholic University Federation. Also authored a book on collection of his poetry writing, titled "LAADO". Also the Vice-President of "Mukesh Lovers' Association". Also lifetime member of "Bidypati Smarak Manch" and "Karnamrit". Possess vast experience of 24 years in Company Law, SEBI and Capital Market as well as corporate restructuring and business planning. At present running its own proprietorship firm of Company Secretaries under the name and style of “A. K. LABH & CO.” since last 19 years and is associated with number of business houses in private sector as well as few of the organizations in public sector as Corporate Consultants rendering exclusive qualitative professional services to the clients to cater their need and demand of changing corporate world through unique modernized infrastructural set-up and competent staffs in Kolkata and associates throughout the country. Was also a member of Practitioners Advisory Committee (2005 & 2007), Public Relation Committee (2008), Study Circle & Library Committee and Information Technology Committee (2009), Information Technology Committee (2010), Professioanl Development Committee (2011) and Practising Company Secretaries Committee (2013 & 2015) of EIRC, ICSI. Also empanelled as Peer Reviewer by the Peer Review Board of ICSI. Also a member of "Calcutta Study Circle On Corporate Law & Allied Subjects" and "Direct Taxes Professionals' Association (DTPA)". Also a regular faculty member of EIRC, ICSI and chapter offices of ICAI. Also a member of the Corporate Governance and Company Affairs Programme Council of The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI). Also contributed articles and write-ups on corporate affairs in various professional magazines. Also appointed on the panel of arbitrators of National Stock Exchange (NSE), Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) & Central Depository Services Limited (CDSL). Was also registered as "Insolvency Professional" with Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India under Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. Also empanelled as Mediator or Conciliator with RD, Eastern Region, MCA.
